Funage area was located at the east end of Hayashisaki Village and had poor drainage because of flat lowlands. It was between the Kojo River and the Otohi River, so the boundary of land was complex. So Hayashisaki Village had completed the soil improvement and the land readjustment tor three years since about 1120 by forseeing to build streets in the future.
