Mt. Hachiike Joren-ji temple, Jodo sect temple, was opened at the east corner of the Umebaka or the burial graveyard in 1597. The main image of Kannondo hall next to the main hail is the statue of Sei Kanzeon Bodhisattva in a zushi or Buddhist altar tittings for storage. It is told that this was the Buddhist statue normally hidden from public view, Bessho Yoshichika who was an uncle of Bessho Nagaharu enshrined at Funage Castle.
