There is the Umebaka or the burial graveyard, for the locals on the slightly elevated sand dunes with a view. It is the traditional Japanese burial graveyard generally called the Sammai. Joren-ji temple was built at the corner of the burial graveyard for dead people without any relatives, the edge of the old Takahama hamlet.
