A hawk-shaped ridge-end roof tile is on the wall of the main house that attaches the nagaya-mon, the mansion’s gate attached row houses on both sides. The hawk is a popular good-luck talisman. This is a design with a playful spirit of the roof tile craftsman and a leadenly silvery hawk is catching its prey. It is said that the good-luck talisman on the wall means to bring happiness and pray for owner’s posterity and success.
