33.the Kannon Hall of Shogo-ji temple

Fujie・Matsue

Yukai, the priest of Jinno-ji Temple in Hayashi, and Zembei, the village hendman, built the Kannon Hall at the empty lot of Shogo-ji Temple in 1700. It is said that it was restored in 1794 and rebuilt in 1966. This is the fourth of the 33 pilgrimage spots of Akashi County and has a roban or a part of the Buddhist tower and ridge- end roof tiles with a demon face in the building.
