There is a temple of Jizo called the Artesian Well Jizo or the Refuge Jizo around the boundary of Hayashisaki Village. Hanging straw sandals without clog thong may be “michikiri”, talismans against evil at the boundary. People also have thought of old legends like muddy stone image of Buddha that has answering prayers for preventing plague and so on.
