11.長屋門の職人技

　浜街道沿はまかいどうぞいの路地裏ろじうらに、裕福ゆうふくな農家の長屋門があります。構造形式を熟知じゅくちした大工職人冥利みょうりの技で、柱・梁はり等の材質を活かし意匠いしょうを凝こらした長屋門の見栄えとその実用性には思わず見惚みほれてしまいます。

At the back alley on the Hama Highway, a rich farmer has a house with the nagaya-mon. We never get tired of watching the artisanship of the gate. The carpenters knew the construction pattern, and made the most of the quality of woods for the columns and the beams also built the gate elaborately. The gate has both nice-looking and practicality.
