昭和29年に明石と鳴門のフェリーの航路が国道28号線の一部区間として開通し、本土と淡路島、四国が繋がりました。
その後、外港へ発着場は移されましたが、その跡は今も残っています。
34.The ruins of a ferryboat landing
The ferryboat lanes between Akashi City and Awaji Island also between Awaji Island and Naruto City opened to traffic as a part of Route 28 in 1954. People can drive to Shikoku through Awaji Island from Honshu.
Afterward, the ferryboat landing was moved out of the port of Akashi, but we can see the trace now.
