若宮神社は元善楽寺観音堂の場所に鎮座しています。かつては海難を担当する当津村新浜の人々の神様であり、「西宮明神」とも記されることもありました。表参道は海を見守るかのように、海浜と一本の直線で結ばれています。
07. he shrine built at the ruins of Kannnondo hall
Wakamiya Shrine was built at the place where Zenraku-ji temple Kannondo hall had been. It was the shrine for people who lived in Tozu Village Shinhama and worked for sea rescue, and it was recorded as “Nishinomiya Myojin.” The main approach goes straight to the beach and you can view the sea well from the shrine.
