無量光寺は浄土宗の寺院です。江戸時代慶長年間に江井島から移設されました。源氏物語の舞台にもなっています。十王通りにつながる無量光寺の付近一帯は、かつて葬送の地でした。

Muryoko-ji temple is a temple of Jodo sect. It was moved from Eigashima at the beginning of the Edo period. It appeared in the chapter of Akashi of The Tale of Genji. Juo Street was in the area around Muryoko-ji temple where funeral processions used to pass.
