12.首なし地蔵

路傍ろぼうにある二基の石造物は近世きんせいの造立とみられるお地蔵様の残欠ざんけつです。
　石造物はいずれも砂岩の加工石であるため、表面の風化もかなり進んでいます。胴体より上部が欠損けっそんしている理由として廃仏毀釈はいぶつきしゃくの可能性が考えられます。

the statues of Jizo without heads

Two stone works by the roadside are states of Jizo without upper body that were likely made in early modern times.
Both of these were made of sandstone, so the surface of them weathered very much. They might break the upper bodies because of the movement to abbolish Buddhism early in the Meiji period.
