18.石積みの技巧

竜山石たつやまいしの石積みはよく見る風景ですが、ここは少し違います。隅石すみいしは斜めに、脇の石は底面が下にくい込むように加工され、少しでも崩れにくいように造られたとても丁寧ていねいな仕事ぶりです。

the technical masonry

This masonry with Tatsuyama stone is slightly different from others that are often seen. Though the corner stone tilts, the next stone worked skillfully touches tightly the stone under it. This stone retaining wall will rately crumble.
