15.伏見城から来た門

この門はかつて明石城居い屋や敷しき廓くるわ()（城主居きょ館かん()）の切きっ手て門もん()（正門）でした。明治初年に月げっ照しょう寺じ()に山門(さんもん)として移い築ちく()されました。元々は伏見城の薬やく医い門もん()でしたが、明石城の築城時に拝はい領りょう()されたものです。桃山風(ももやまふう)の豪壮(ごうそう)な風ふう格かく()の四し脚きゃく門もん()です。

15.He gate placed at Fushimi Castle
This gate was once Kitte-mon gate or the main gate, of Iyashiki-kuruwa or lord’s house in Akashi Castle.  This was brought and reconstructed to Gessho-ji temple as its main temple gate in 1868.  This was originally Yakui-mon gate of Fushimi Castle but given to Akashi when they built Akashi Castle.  We associate the culture in the Momoyama period with this grand with four assistant columns.
