この鳥居は阪神淡路大震災により倒壊し、鳥居の上部に当たる笠木、島木、貫と呼ばれる所がステンレス製となりました。元々の部材は柵として石段の脇に設置されており、震災当時を物語る遺産として、保存活用されています。
17.The coping of torii used as the fence
After the old torii was fallen down by Hanshin Awaji Great Earthquake, the upper part of this torii such as coping was replaced with stainless steel one. The fallen stones are placed by the stone steps of the shrine as the fence. They are used as the heritage that shows the earthquake.
