中崎半島には、南西方向に突き出た古い石積みがあります。ここは東波門崎と呼ばれていました。
昔の地図を見ると、南の旧波門崎灯台付近まで伸びていることから波門崎は文字通り、海上の門になっていたようです。
The gate in the sea
There is the old stoned breakwater that sticks out southwest at tha Nakasaki Peninsula.
This was called Higashi Hatozaki reached near the old Hatozaki Beacon in the south. Hatozaki, the cape with the gate for wave, was literal the gate in the sea.
