明石川河口は水害を防ぐため護岸が整備されています。河川敷には広い野外ステージが設けられ、市民の憩いの場として開放されています。当津村新浜は、かつて夙村といわれ海難や葬儀に従事した人々が暮らしていました。
05. the outdoor stage
The mouth of the Akashi River has been improved to prevent floods. A large-scale outdoor stage was installed and people can enjoy their recreations for free there. The area had the name of Tozu Village Shinhama but also named shuku-mura Village, and people there worked for sea rescue or funerals.
