ここは古くから明石の漁師・廻船業者・船鍛冶たちの生活を支えてきた漁具店の一つです。かつてはたくさんあった漁具店も年々減ってきているため、貴重な一軒です。切妻２階建て、屋根は釉薬された塩焼きの明石瓦です。

This is one of fishing implement shops, which have helped the business of fishermen, shipping agencies, boat smith and so on in Akashi. Though there were many fishing implement shops, now it is a rare shop because the number of shops is decreasing year by year. This is a two-story house with a gable roof covered with Japanese clay roof tile salt glazed of Akashi.
